The American Cancer Society Annual Report outlines our path forward as we work to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. In the report, we showcase our accomplishments, and we detail revenue and spending for the calendar year. We also recognize the contributions of our partners, volunteers, and leadership who join with us to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.
At a time when donors and volunteers have many charitable choices, we understand our obligation to demonstrate and communicate effectively. The American Cancer Society may not be publicly traded, but we consider ourselves publicly held. We want everyone to know how we are performing against our stated business goals and how we are fulfilling our mission, how we hold ourselves accountable, and how we ultimately measure our work.
Please take a moment to review the audited and certified financial information in this Annual Report or review the complete Financial Statements on cancer.org. It’s a great way to appreciate the depth and breadth of the public’s investment in our goals, as well as to better understand the importance and scope of our work. The Annual Report is a record of what we’ve accomplished. It's also an invitation for you to join us.
