快猫短视频 DICR Summer Healthcare Experience (SHE) in Oncology for High School Students

We provide institutional support for female high school students to take part in a 2-week virtual summer program in cancer research. The program targets students who are part of an underrepresented minority (URM) group and are interested in a future career in a health-related science.

The Summer Healthcare Experience (SHE) in Oncology Program is part of the 快猫短视频 Center for Diversity in Cancer Research Training.?The ultimate goal is to increase the number of URM cancer researchers in the future.

The SHE Program Basics

To increase awareness of, and enthusiasm for, opportunities to work in cancer research for High School students who:

  • Are part of an underrepresented minority (URM) group
  • Identify as female
  • Are interested in a future career in a health-related science
SHE students spend 2 weeks during the summer engaging in cancer research with eCLOSE Institute (an online program) and doing case studies to expand their breadth of cancer research knowledge and career opportunities.

Throughout the year, SHE Program participants are given opportunities to engage in planned career-development and networking activities.

Students receive a?$500?stipend.

No academic credit is awarded.

Each 快猫短视频-funded institution sets?the?criteria and process for SHE student applications and their review. Institutions?may choose up to 20 SHE Program participants using a selection committee.?
