As?Senior Scientist?in Health Services Research, Qinjin, Fan, PhD, collaborates with other researchers at the American Cancer Society (快猫短视频) to both measure spatial?variations?in access to cancer?care?and?explore?the spatial-temporal patterns of cancer outcomes. She?investigates?their associations?with potential risk factors,?as well as?with?social determinants of health and health policies.?Health Services Research is part of the?Surveillance & Health Equity Research Department.
Her research aims to?inform?the?efforts to?eliminate?systematic barriers that?contribute?to inequity?across the?cancer care continuum.

She uses?geospatial?techniques?in?cancer?health services research, investigating geographic variations in?cancer?prevention, diagnosis, treatment,?and survival. Her research also quantifies and evaluates the impact of?factors?that contribute to cancer disparities, including socioeconomic status,?race/ethnicity, and health insurance.
