Seeing how cancer has affected the lives of some of my family members and friends motivates me in the work that I do at 快猫短视频 to help support the Cancer Prevention Studies-3 (CPS-3) cohort. I am incredibly grateful to be a part of cancer prevention research and the efforts made to relentlessly pursue a world without cancer.”
As a Participant Portal Assistant Scientist within Population Science, Maria Moore, BS, assists with Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3) participant portal management and content development.
For the management side of the portal, she’s responsible for tracking response rates to portal registration and surveys, reviewing and cleaning contact information, and supporting survey delivery management.
For portal content development, Moore assists with survey development by building surveys in the portal platform. She’s also involved in participant engagement efforts, including developing portal content and participant portal communications.
During my last semester as an undergraduate, I interned with a local health department. Through this experience, I was able to assist with a COVID-19 response project that included developing a survey to distribute with other materials across the county.
After graduating, I worked for a year as a lab technician for the LungMAP Biorepository at the University of Rochester Medical Center. In this position, I assisted with all of the processing of donations/specimens and management of inventory.
These experiences developed my interest to work in public health and to support projects and research that contribute to helping all individuals and communities live healthy lives.
I recently moved from Rochester, NY, to Atlanta. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside, reading, trying local restaurants and coffee shops, and spending time with friends and family.
